INOCO Provides Seawater Filters for Bozhong 19-6 Gas Field

CNOOC announced on February 25 that the Bozhong 19-6 Gas Field, located in the central depression of the Bohai Sea, has yielded high-quality, high-yield oil and gas flow through testing, confirming proved geological reserves of natural gas exceeding 100 billion cubic meters.

INOCO highly values its long-term cooperative relationship with CNOOC. In January 2019, we signed an emergency contract with CNOOC (China) Limited, committing to complete the production of seawater filters and pass third-party inspection within 90 days to support the Ministry of Natural Resources and the National Energy Administration’s 2019 natural gas supply assurance project construction.


INOCO without affecting the delivery schedules of the already awarded projects including the Ludao 21-2/16-3 Oilfield Development Project, the Penglai 19-3 Oilfield Areas 1/3/8/9 Integrated Adjustment Project, and the Weizhou 6-9 Oilfield Rectification Project, actively coordinated with third-party inspection bodies CCS and BV to expedite the drawing review process. We organized production personnel into two shifts daily and completed the equipment manufacturing within 60 days, far exceeding the owner’s expectations. The seawater backwash filters are installed on skids. The design flow rate for a single unit reaches 500M³/H. The filter housing is made of carbon steel lined with chloroprene rubber. FARRIS safety valves, Rosemount pressure transmitters, Parker instrument valves, and ABB motors are used. The filters provide fully automatic, backwash cleaning operation and can continuously separate impurities from water and other liquids. They are particularly suitable for applications on ships and offshore platforms.
